If I could tell my younger self one thing it would be; “Just do it.” Nike nailed it for sure but only now, all these decades later do I truly get it. Although I’ve found myself forgetting that simple truth.

Not any more.

For so many months now, I wrangled with getting a podcast on the cyber waves. In this process I dove deep back into the well of knowledge, experience and dare I say wisdom of what I “needed” to do before I sent out the first frame.

From mapping out a format to building a broadcast clock to scrapping each over and over and over again, I finally said to hell with it and just do it.

And it hurt. But only for a couple of minutes. in the end all those overthinking thoughts and unnecessary processes fell to the wayside with the reality that all that mattered (to me) was the message. The mechanics were long in place and I know for a fact that the aesthetics would fall in place. Organically. Naturally. Nearly effortlessly.

And it is. So now what? Keep on trucking’, baby!

I share this reminder of truth with you this morning because I know there are multitudes of folks out there who are stuck in this rut and probably need a little help springing free from this self imposed mental trap.

Thankfully, I talk to myself so I got back around to me finally in this kick in the posterior and head.

Just do it!
